In a surprising partnership that challenges traditional predictions, Ubisoft has announced an virtual crossover between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the acclaimed anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual Thanksgiving event operates from November 25 through December 22, offering free bonus story content for Shadows players.
Mysterious Mission Uncovered
According to the official release, "A mysterious confrontation draws heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a fresh mission, where hints of forbidden practices and terrifying changes reverberate through the obscurity." The plot introduces a "unusually garbed woman named Ada" who charges the duo with journeying into the Gemstone Grotto—a important location from Attack on Titan—to save her friend from a clandestine cult.
The adventure focuses on "bizarre experiments and a terrifying adversary" and is open to all players who have gained access to the Yasuke character.
Iconic Settings and Transformations
The trailer highlights the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan reimagined as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was earlier where the Reiss royal family handed down the Founding Titan ability through eras. The preview ends with a dramatic scene showing a character, probably the hostage, morphing into a Titan that towers over Naoe and Yasuke.

Players who successfully complete the quest will acquire an special katana in addition to multiple objects concealed throughout the area in secret chests. The update also features premium Attack on Titan item packs, offering:
