We begin with questions from Conservative lawmaker the committee chair, who oversees the group.
She commences by providing background to the disclosed document written by Michael Prescott and printed in a daily publication.
"It is not my wish for the British Broadcasting Corporation tilting this way or that way, I simply desire it straight, unbiased and equitable," he states.
In response to a query whether he considers the BBC is systematically partial, the adviser replies: "Absolutely not. Let's be clear, numerous aspects the British Broadcasting Corporation does is world class - both factual and non-factual content."
However, he continues: "There is real work that must be undertaken at the British Broadcasting Corporation."
Another former external BBC adviser interviewed by the group, Caroline Daniel, says she takes the British Broadcasting Corporation very seriously and that it maintains a "continuous process and vigorous discourse" on dynamic and complex topics.
"Did the BBC prepared to engage in a genuine dialogue and debate and take action?" she asks herself. "From my perspective, yes they were."
