The former Liverpool manager states a return to coach Liverpool is theoretically possible.
Jurgen Klopp, who stepped down from Anfield in 2024, remarked that returning someday remains an option. Fan Sentiment and His Frank Comments
They secured the league title last season, yet numerous supporters who revere Klopp would welcome the possibility of his potential comeback. During an extensive chat, he told the podcast host: “I declared I won't manage another team on English soil. Therefore should it be the Reds...absolutely. Theoretically it’s possible.”
“At 58 years old, which suggests the choice could be mine in a few years, who knows. Is a decision required immediately? Then I will not coach again. But thank God, no such pressure exists. I'll simply watch what the future brings.”
Conditions for a Comeback
Pressed on what circumstances would need to occur to bring him back to the dugout, he revealed he isn't eager toward coming back. “I'm not entirely sure, My present work fulfills me,” he said. “I don't crave being a coach; I avoid standing during downpours for lengthy sessions; I'm glad to skip media briefings multiple times weekly or doing numerous chats each week.
“The locker room isn't missed in that context, but sitting in a restaurant with the players having a nice chat, is pleasant. Success was frequent thus frequently great spirits at the club. Remaining with me is the captain's chuckle ringing in my ears as an instance.”
Praise for His Successor
Klopp was full of praise regarding Arne Slot, crediting him due to the changes that took the title last campaign. Liverpool have lost a string of losses across various tournaments following significant transfers, yet he dismissed the suggestion that it might signal a slump.
“[Liverpool have] a top-class attacker such as Wirtz, critics will regret if you use the wrong words. An outstanding player. Ekitike, excellent performer. This is a well-built thoughtfully assembled roster. You don’t have to worry regarding the Reds, they'll bounce back.”
Heartfelt Words for Diogo Jota
The manager expressed deep feeling regarding the passing of the Portuguese star, a player he signed while in charge, along with the consequences at the club. Jota lost his life in a vehicle collision alongside his brother in July.
“How do you replace such an individual? It goes beyond his on-field talent, it's his character. I can’t imagine the squad missing him. I still cannot speak properly on this topic. It was an incredible shock for the entire squad too. Not a single person would cite it as an excuse though it's a fact. Being in that space where his spirit remains. Coping with it emotionally is challenging. Unbearable.”
